Job description

About CouponFollow:

Established in 2010 and acquired by System1 (NYSE:SST) in 2022, CouponFollow is a fast-growing, international product company with a headquarters in NY. With over 10 million monthly users, our two primary savings tools, the CouponFollow site and the Cently browser extension, have helped save shoppers over $400+ million by intelligently finding coupons, discovering deals, and earning rewards.

We're a truly global team of almost 100 people, with our engineering talent located primarily in Poland, but also in Pakistan and the Philippines, and our business team based in the U.S. We thrive in a remote-first culture, while still enjoying occasional in-person meetups. Additionally, our cozy office in Toruń, Poland, provides a hub for collaborative events.

About the Role and Your Impact:

We’re looking for a DevOps Lead to guide our small but growing DevOps team in Poland (two Senior DevOps Engineers and an IT Admin) and help strengthen the connection between DevOps, product engineering, and other teams. You’ll report to the engineering lead in Poland.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll drive our DevOps strategy, mentor the team, and nurture a culture of reliability, automation, and continuous improvement. You’ll work primarily with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and other modern PaaS tools to keep our platform scalable, secure, and blazing fast.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing DevOps team.
Act as hiring manager for new engineers and conduct performance reviews.

  • Partner with seven software engineering teams to deliver products efficiently and reliably — including CouponFollow.com, the Cently browser extension, and our monetization and offer feed services.

  • Drive our DevOps Guild — a cross-functional group of engineers that promotes best practices, reliability, and shared learning.

  • Manage team roadmap - collaborate with engineering leaders and stakeholders to identify challenges, prioritize improvements, and unblock teams.

  • Shape our CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure strategy with a focus on automation, performance, and security.

  • Manage external vendors and budgets, ensuring alignment and cost efficiency.

  • Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems to continuously improve platform stability.

  • Contribute to architectural discussions and cross-team engineering initiatives.

  • Participate in the DevOps on-call rotation to maintain uptime and reliability.

What We Offer:

  • B2B contract with a U.S.-based company

  • Remote-first work environment

  • Flexible working hours

  • Hourly rate: $45-55 + FX Bonus (quarterly PLN–USD adjustment program, up to 4 PLN = 1 USD)

  • 10 days (80 hours) of paid Recharge Days  per year

  • Annual performance bonus

  • $1,000 annual training budget

  • All necessary equipment and software licenses provided

  • Friendly, collaborative culture — we’re no longer a startup, but not quite a corporation either

  • Annual Company Summit, local meetups, and internal learning sessions

  • Modern technologies and plenty of room to innovate

  • Flat structure — your ideas and input make a real difference.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation

  • 5+ years of team leadership or management experience

  • A product mindset — customer-oriented, outcome-driven, and collaborative

  • Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud (App Services, Functions) and Azure DevOps
